I do not know at the present time (July 28, 2012) if
G. Charles Stone and Dwight D. Stone are related in any way, but they are both from Hackensack and enlisted in the service early on.
Only a week later, because it was so early on, U.S. soldiers were arriving overseas in France. There appeared another brief article in The Evening Record dated Wednesday July 25, 1917, telling of Jack Ackerson arriving in France and Charles G. Stone and
Edwin Lutkins already in France with the Red Cross.
